How to print 1099 in QuickBooks Online

  2. Review the ready forms in Preview forms In Preview forms, use the Ready tab to review the 1099-NEC forms and Non-employee compensation amounts for tax year 2025. Each row has a Preview link, and View summary opens the information summary. Intuit workflow guidance.

  3. Inspect the 1099 Forms Preview Select Preview on a recipient row to open 1099 Forms Preview and inspect the year, names, addresses, and Box 1 amount.   4. Review print controls in File In File, the Print your 1099 forms screen provides Print sample of 1099-NEC and Print 1099-NEC controls. Follow the blank-paper sample and alignment checks before using the appropriate form stock for approved paper output. Intuit workflow guidance.

    E-filing is required when a filer must file 10 or more information returns in a calendar year, counted across almost all covered return types; see IRS Topic No. 801. The QuickBooks screen says "more than 10," but the IRS threshold is 10 or more.

  5. Collect missing W-9s and route pre-print readiness gaps through W9Finder before paper copies are produced.

Check the payment year
